The Blue Ostrich Winery and Vineyard is located in Cooke County, Texas a short drive north of the DFW metroplex.  Every weekend folks from around North Texas and Southern Oklahoma make the drive to the former ostrich ranch located beneath the sweeping bluffs of the Red River valley to enjoy award winning wines, live music and scenic views from the covered pavilion. 

Blue Ostrich produces many special events through out the year, like our hot air balloon glow, star gazing in the fall, a 5K Turkey Trot event in November, wine club pick up parties, winemaker dinner events and more. We're also known for our fabulous winter sunset watching events.

The Whitehead and Fredrick families have been growing grapes and making wine in North Texas since 2010  The knowledgeable tasting room staff specializes in down-home hospitality, and the Blue Ostrich kitchen has a menu of savory provisions prepared to order.

Reservations are recommended for peak tasting room hours, particularly Saturdays and Sunday. 

By the way, they really do have ostriches.
